Hello Members and Friends

We have finally finalized the Mentoring schedule. Courses are open to ACS, CERT, ARES and Community members. Exam Prep courses are designed with flexibility in mind, so that enrollees may do home study on weekends where they can't make it to the Station for test prep.

The technician license is the entry license into amateur radio. This class is a great way to get your amateur license quickly in a couple weekends. Please note that Morse code is no longer a requirement to get any amateur radio license.

Mentor sessions will be at 9:00 am to 12:00 am Saturday February 6^th, 13^th, and 20^th at Old Fire Station 77. The class will be followed by a license testing session conducted by the volunteer examiners for the LAFD ACS Radio Club.

You will need a picture ID, a copy of your current license (if any) your valid CSCE forms (if any), your social security number or FCC FRN, and the testing fee payable by cash or check.
